Moro Olive Oil, imported from Spain since 1960, is regarded as one of Australia's prime imports from Spain and the purest of Mediterranean traditions.
Spanish olive oil's history and production has its roots steeped in fine traditions that ensure the very best quality olive oil and it is this tradition that makes Spain famous as the world's largest producer of Olive Oil.
Olives for Moro Olive Oil are mainly grown in the Cordoba and Seville regions of Spain as well as in some selected areas of Extremadura and Alicante and are picked at optimum ripeness. Olives for Moro Olive Oil are harvested and pressed with very little delay between processes; the juice is squeezed out while the aroma and flavour are still intact. This is one of the key elements to producing a high quality olive oil.
